If you had the chance to check out Caution Brewing at last year's Stapleton Beer Festival, then you know that Danny Wang and Betty Fey are brewing some great beers right in Stapleton's back yard. Unfortunately, their beers have been in limited release (festivals, the Lao Wang Noodle House, and a few bars)... until now!
This Friday, May 18, Caution Brewing will be opening their new Tap Room at 12445 E. 39th. Avenue, Unit 313 (building C), Denver, CO 80239 - basically that is a block east 39th and Peoria - just a few minutes from Stapleton. Doors open at 4pm on the 18th and will probably stay open as long as there are people with a hankering for really good beer! Regular hours (Fridays 5-9pm, Saturdays and Sundays noon to 6pm) start on Saturday the 19th.
For more information, check out Caution Brewing's website, on Twitter, or on Facebook.
See you on Friday!

A few months ago, Red Robin Restaurants announced that they were working on a new restaurant concept - a simplified version of their popular Red Robin restaurants. Well, the first Burger Works location is opening at Northfield Stapleton on November 21!
The Burger Works Menu looks to combine some of the traditional Red Robin favorites with some 'Burger Works Originals' and a Build Your Own option with tons of topings to choose from. Hopefully they will also bring over Red Robin's great steak fries - although I doubt that they will come in bottomless baskets!
According to their website,
Burger Works was created to keep it simple. Basically, we're burgers. The fresh, fire-grilled burgers you love about Red Robin and a few other menu all-stars. A simple concept that makes scrumptious sense. You just belly up empty and belly away full. Simple.
The first Burger Works is opening November 21, 2011 at Northfield - from the map it looks like they will be across from Qdoba. 2012 will reportedly bring new locations to the campuses of THE Ohio State University and Metro State College of Denver.

So, my road bike was in need of some tires and tubes for a new set of wheels I recently purchased. As I was getting ready to head to one of Denver's mega-sized bike shops, a friend reminded me about '...the new bike shop in Stapleton.' I'm really glad he did!
Cycleton is a Specialized Elite bicycle store that opened in Stapleton's 29th Ave Town Center in May. Based onthe number of customers I saw inside, and the rack of shop tickets, it sure looks like Stapleton (and northeast Denver in general) has welcomed this new business to the neighborhood. Combining a beautiful store, friendly employees, and a strong focus on customer service, Cycleton looks like a great addition to Stapleton.
In addition to the Specialized brand, Cycleton carries Orbea, Nirve, Thule, Burley, B.O.B and Capo. They host a Saturday morning group ride (about two hours, leaves the shop at 6:30am) and have just started a Sunday group run (about an hour, leaves the shop at 8:30am).
Cycleton looks to have something for just about everyone, from kids to cruisers to serious riders. Next time you're in the Town Center stop in and check them out - and definitely visit the store when it is time to service your current bike or to buy a new bike or accessories!
Cycleton is located at 7480 E 29th Ave, Denver CO 80238 and their phone number is (303) 329-0069. Check them out online at www.cycleton.com or visit their Facebook page.
