REGISTER HERE for the 2012 Stapleton Community Garage Sale

We're just 3 weeks away from the 2012 Stapleton Community Garage Sale, and wanted to update the community on the details for this year's sale. There are a couple of changes (and some details still need to be worked out) so please read on!

This year's sale will be held over TWO DAYS - Saturday July 21 and Sunday July 22. Participants can decide whether they will have their sale on Saturday, Sunday, or both. We have also made some changes to the online signup form on the website to make things easier as we prepare the map and list of homes participating.  We will publish the list online at www.BuildingStapleton.com/garagesale as we get closer to the actual Sale.

There will be ads in the Denver Post over the sale weekend and the weekend before.

So, here are the two "details" that we still haven't gotten resolved:

Stapleton Garage Sale Signs

• Unfortunately we're not going to be able to reuse the signs next year like we usually do, so we're not going to pick them up after the sale. We're working on a couple of locations where participants will be able to pick up signs. I thought we already had it worked out, but it looks like we won't be confirmed until Monday. As soon as we have the details set, I will send out another email blast.

Post Sale Donation Pickup

• The good news is that we will have two organizations collecting your unsold items (or other things you want to donate) after the sale this year. Goodwill and the Denver Children's Advocacy Center will both be collecting items. Only challenge we're having is a location for their trucks. The Stapleton Discovery Center parking lot is not available, and we're looking at alternatives what won't create traffic nightmares. I expect that Goodwill will collect at or near their store in Quebec Square, and we hope to finalize a location for DCAC shortly. More info will be sent out as soon as we have it.

Registration is now available online for the 2012 Stapleton Community Garage Sale. Now in our 7th year, the Stapleton Garage Sale has gown to be one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) multi-family garage sales in Denver - last year we had over 300 homes participating in the sale!

Signs for the sale will be available shortly, and a full list of the participants will be posted online a week before the sale. In addition, this year we will be partnering with the new Goodwill Store in Stapleton to collect unsold items after the sale.
