Music, Concerts, and Theater in and around Denver

On June 5, 1983 a little known Irish rock band performed live in the rain amid the natural beauty of Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Four months later, U2 exploded onto the music scene with the release of "Under a Blood Red Sky." Today, the Denver area is a hotbed for live music, providing something for everyone both in musical styles and venues, and it seems that all Denver residents have a personal story about their own rain-soaked experiences at Red Rocks!

Red Rocks Amphitheatre
Nestled in the Rocky Mountain Foothills fifteen miles west of Denver, there stands a symbol of nature's unparalleled majesty. Red Rocks is a geologically formed, open-air Amphitheatre that is not duplicated anywhere in the world. With Mother Nature as the architect, the design of the Amphitheatre consists of two, three hundred-foot monoliths (Ship Rock and Creation Rock) that provide acoustic perfection for any performance.

Pepsi Center
Situated at the edge of downtown Denver, Pepsi Center anchors Denver's thriving LoDo entertainment district and is the region's newest sports and entertainment venue.

Comfort Dental Amphitheatre
Formerly known as Fiddler's Green and The Coors Amphitheatre, this venue is located 15 minutes South of downtown Denver. With spectacular Rocky Mountain sunsets as a background, the Amphitheatre is a unique showcase for top entertainment and special events, with reserved seating for 6,823 and additional seating for 10,000 on a landscaped lawn.

The Fillmore Auditorium
Originally opened as the Mammoth Roller Skating Rink in 1907, the historic Fillmore Auditorium has played host to everyone from James Brown to The Grateful Dead to local favorites The String Cheese Incident.

The Denver Center for the Performing Arts
Founded in 1972 and dedicated to excellence in the arts, The Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) is a showcase for live theatre, a nurturing ground for new plays, a preferred stop on the Broadway touring circuit, an award-winning multi-media production facility, a national training school for actors, and the site of a voice clinic and research facility.
